Anna University Extends TANCET 2026 Registration Deadline: Apply by April 15

Anna University has extended the TANCET 2026 application deadline to April 15, providing more time for MBA/MCA aspirants to register. The exams remain scheduled for May 9 and May 10 across various centers in Tamil Nadu

Aspiring postgraduate students in Tamil Nadu have received a significant breather. Anna University has officially extended the registration deadline for the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2026 and the Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admission (CEETA-PG) 2026.

Originally set to conclude on April 10, the application window has now been pushed to April 15, 2026. This extension comes as a relief for hundreds of candidates who were racing against time to gather documents or complete their online submissions.

Key Dates for TANCET 2026

While the registration dates have shifted, the exam schedule remains firm. Candidates should mark their calendars for the second week of May.

Event New Date
Registration Deadline (Extended) April 15, 2026
TANCET MBA Exam May 9, 2026 (2:30 PM – 4:30 PM)
TANCET MCA Exam May 9, 2026 (10:00 AM – 12:00 PM)

Why the Extension Matters

The TANCET is the primary gateway for admission into MBA and MCA programs across more than 250 colleges in Tamil Nadu, including university departments and government-aided engineering colleges. CEETA-PG serves those looking to enter M.E., M.Tech, M.Arch, and M.Plan courses.

With the five-day extension, Anna University aims to ensure that no eligible student is left behind due to technical glitches or last-minute rushes.
