The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam, released the provisional merit list for Round-4 (stray vacancy round) of NEET PG 2025 state quota counselling on February 25, 2026, making approximately 190 candidates eligible for remaining MD/MS seats in government medical colleges across the state for the 2025-26 academic session.
How to Download Assam NEET PG 2025 Merit List

According to the official notification issued by DME Assam, the merit list is now available on the department’s website at dme.assam.gov.in. Candidates can download it in PDF format directly from the portal.
The list includes essential details for shortlisted aspirants, such as name, category, NEET PG marks, All India Rank, and state rank. Around 190 candidates feature in this provisional selection for the ongoing Round-4 process, also referred to as the stray vacancy round in state counselling.
Assam NEET PG 2025 Counselling Process Overview
The choice filling process for eligible candidates remains active on the official admission portal. Following this, the seat allotment result will be published online in PDF format.
- Reporting deadline: Candidates allotted seats must report to their respective colleges by February 28, 2026.
- Further stages, including document verification, will follow allotment.
Conducted by DME Assam, the state quota counselling covers postgraduate medical seats in institutions such as Gauhati Medical College and others under the Assam jurisdiction. This Round-4 stage addresses remaining vacancies after previous rounds for the 2025 academic session admissions. - Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh — Offers seats in multiple MD/MS branches, including MD General Medicine, MD Dermatology, and MS Ophthalmology.
- Silchar Medical College, Silchar — Participates with allotments in subjects like MD Radio-Diagnosis and others.
- Jorhat Medical College, Jorhat — Included for courses such as MD Radio-Diagnosis and MD Dermatology, Venerology & Leprosy.
