BITS Pilani Offers Full Tuition Fee Waiver for Top 500 BITSAT Rankers 2026-27

BITS Pilani has announced a full tuition fee waiver for the top 500 BITSAT 2026 rankers across all campuses and first-degree programs. Eligible students must maintain a minimum CGPA of 7.5 and have a family income below ₹20 lakh. This initiative reinforces merit-based access to quality education in engineering and sciences.

Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani has introduced a tuition-blind admissions policy, granting full tuition fee scholarships to the top 500 BITSAT 2026 rankers. This initiative applies to first-degree programmes across all BITS Pilani campuses, including Pilani, K K Birla Goa, Hyderabad, Dubai, and Mumbai, starting from the academic year 2026-27.

Eligibility and Scholarship Details

• Rank Requirement: Must be among the top 500 in BITSAT 2026

• Income Limit: Annual family income up to ₹20 lakh

• Academic Requirement: Maintain a minimum CGPA of 7.5 throughout the programme

• Coverage: Full tuition fee waiver for the four-year duration of Integrated First Degree programmes (B.E., M.Sc., B.Pharm)

• Application: No separate scholarship application; the waiver is included in the admission offer

Significance of the Scholarship

This move strengthens BITS Pilani’s commitment to merit-based access. Last year, the institute awarded scholarships worth ₹132 crore, assisting one in four students. The new tuition-blind scheme ensures that financial constraints do not prevent meritorious students from accessing high-quality education.

Prof. V Ramgopal Rao, Group Vice Chancellor, stated:

“We have invested heavily in scholarships for years, but tuition-blind admissions for our top 500 BITSAT rankers is a defining step. If you have the talent, money should not come in the way.”
