The CBSE Class 12 English exam was conducted successfully and smoothly today across centres in India and abroad. With early reviews coming in, the paper was considered to be of an easy-to-moderate difficulty level. The paper had a balance of questions and mostly had question patterns repeated from previous years.
The first section was “Reading”, which had a couple of unseen passages, followed by the “Writing” section, which included notice, article and report writing. The “Literature” section had extract-based questions and descriptive questions from the prescribed syllabus. Most students and teachers found the paper well-balanced, manageable, a bit lengthy and syllabus-aligned.

The CBSE Class 12 English paper is divided into 3 sections, i.e., Reading, Writing, and Literature. The table below shares the section-wise analysis of the English paper:
