CBSE Revises CTET February 2026 Schedule to Two Days Amid High Registrations
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a revision in the schedule for the CTET February 2026 session. Originally planned for a single day, the exam will now be conducted over two days — February 7 and February 8, 2026. This change comes in response to a significant increase in candidate registrations, allowing smoother logistics and better examination management across 140 cities nationwide. Candidates are advised to check their official admit cards for assigned dates, shifts, and exam centres once they are released on the official CTET website, ctet.nic.in.
Reason for Schedule Revision
According to the official CBSE notification, the 21st edition of CTET was initially scheduled for February 8, 2026, only. Due to the surge in registrations, the board decided to extend the examination to two days — February 7 and 8. This ensures efficient conduct, reduces pressure on examination centres, and provides a better experience for all candidates appearing for CTET February 2026.
