About Central University of Jharkhand
Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ) was established on 1st March 2009 under the Central Universities Act, 2009 by the Government of India. Located in Ranchi, Jharkhand, the university operates from its 510-acre permanent campus at Cheri-Manatu, approximately 17 km from Ranchi city center.
The university has 9 Schools of Study comprising 25 academic departments offering undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes across disciplines including Science, Engineering, Humanities, Social Sciences, Management, Education, and Performing Arts. CUJ follows the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 framework and offers integrated programmes along with traditional degree courses.
