The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the admit card for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) February 2026 session on February 5, 2026. Registered candidates can now download their CTET admit cards from the official website ctet.nic.in. The examination is set to be held on February 7 and 8, 2026, in two shifts each day at designated centres across more than 140 cities in India. This eligibility test, conducted by CBSE on behalf of the Ministry of Education, determines teaching qualification for primary (Classes 1–5) and upper primary (Classes 6–8) levels in central government schools and several state-affiliated institutions.

How to Download the CTET Admit Card

Follow these steps to access and print the admit card:

  1. Go to the official CTET website: ctet.nic.in.
  2. Find and select the link labelled “Download Admit Card: CTET Feb-2026” (prominently displayed on the homepage).
  3. Input your application number and date of birth in the login fields.
  4. Submit the details to view the admit card.
  5. Check all printed information for accuracy, download the file, and obtain a clear colour printout.

Detailed Exam Schedule

The CTET February 2026 will be conducted over two days in morning and afternoon shifts. Below is the official schedule as per the CBSE notification:

Candidates must report to their allotted exam centre at least 90 minutes before the shift begins. Entry gates usually close 30 minutes prior to the commencement of each paper.

Exam Day Guidelines Issued by CBSE

According to the official instructions accompanying the admit card release:

  • Verify personal details, photograph, signature, exam centre, date, and shift on the admit card immediately after downloading.
  • Report any errors to the CTET Unit without delay for rectification.
  • Mandatory documents: printed admit card and one valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID, passport, etc.).
  • No candidate will be permitted entry without these items.
  • Follow all COVID-appropriate behaviour and centre-specific rules if applicable.

The CTET certificate, once qualified, remains valid for a lifetime as per existing guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education. The February 2026 session continues the tradition of being a gateway for teacher recruitment in Kendriya Vidyalayas, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, Central Tibetan Schools, and other institutions that recognise the CTET score.
