The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an advisory reminding candidates to complete the registration process for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) PG 2026 by January 14, 2026. According to the official notification and subsequent reminders from NTA, the application window remains open until 11:50 pm on the specified deadline.

The CUET PG 2026 serves as the national-level entrance examination for admission to various postgraduate programmes in central universities and other participating institutions across India for the academic session 2026-27. The exam conducting authority, NTA, opened online registrations on December 14, 2025.

CUET PG 2026: How to Fill the Application?

To apply, candidates need to follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official website exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg.
  2. Complete initial registration using basic details.
  3. Log in to fill personal, academic, and contact information.
  4. Select up to four preferred examination cities (within the state of permanent or current residence).
  5. Upload required documents and pay the prescribed fee.
  6. Submit the form and download the confirmation page.

Once the fee is paid, no changes are permitted except during the designated correction period. Candidates are advised to review all particulars carefully before final submission.

The NTA has reiterated that the application fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. Enhanced Flexibility in Exam City Selection

In a significant update for this cycle, the National Testing Agency has increased the number of examination city preferences from two to four. This change aims to provide greater convenience to applicants. Those who have already submitted their forms can utilize the correction window to add or modify up to two additional city choices. The total number of exam centers has been adjusted to 292, covering 272 cities in India and 16 overseas locations.

The exam pattern, subject list, and structure remain unchanged from previous cycles. Each test paper is of 90 minutes duration, and the examination will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode. The CUET PG 2026 is offered for 157 subjects.

Exam Schedule and Further Details

The CUET PG 2026 examination is scheduled to be held in March 2026. Specific dates, shifts, and city allotment details will be intimated later through the official website. The authority has not announced further details yet regarding the exact exam timetable, admit card release, or provisional answer key schedule.
