Candidates Can Now Download Response Sheets, Challenge Keys, and Estimate Scores Ahead of March 19 Result
The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati), the organising institute for GATE 2026, has released the provisional answer key along with candidate response sheets for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026. According to the official notification on the GATE 2026 website, the candidate response URL, master question paper, and answer key of the master question paper have been uploaded to the GOAPS portal.
This release applies to all 30 test papers conducted across the country on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. The provisional materials allow candidates to verify their recorded responses against the official keys and estimate their potential scores ahead of the final results.

The materials are available subject-wise, with PDFs for master question papers and answer keys accessible for various disciplines, including Engineering Sciences (XE), Life Sciences (XL), Physics (PH), Biotechnology (BT), Mathematics (MA), Chemical Engineering (CH), and others.

Objection and Challenge Process

The GATE 2026 results are scheduled for announcement on March 19, 2026, based on the final answer key following the resolution of challenges. Qualified candidates will be able to download their scorecards from their GOAPS accounts. GATE scores remain valid for three years from the result date and support admissions to postgraduate programs as well as recruitment by public sector undertakings.
