The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), Ranchi, has released the admit cards for the Class 10 (Secondary) and Class 12 (Intermediate) board examinations 2026 on January 19, 2026. Students appearing for these exams in Jharkhand must collect their hall tickets from their respective schools, as the admit cards are downloaded by school principals using the school ID and password from the official portal jacexamportal.in. The written exams are scheduled to begin on February 3, 2026, with Class 10 exams concluding on February 17 and Class 12 on February 23, followed by practical and viva examinations from February 24 to March 7, 2026.

Exam Schedule and Mode
According to the official timetable previously announced by the Jharkhand Academic Council, the board examinations will be conducted in offline pen-and-paper mode in a single shift daily.
- Class 10 (Matric): February 3 to February 17, 2026 (morning shift)
- Class 12 (Intermediate): February 3 to February 23, 2026 (afternoon shift)
- Practical and Viva Exams (both classes): February 24 to March 7, 2026
The authority has emphasised that entry to the examination centre will not be permitted without a valid admit card, which must be carried on all exam days.
How Schools and Students Can Access Admit Cards?
The admit cards have been made available exclusively to school principals through the official examination portal. Students cannot download them directly.
- School principals should visit the official website jacexamportal.in.
- Access the dedicated links for Secondary Exam (Class 10) admit card or Intermediate Exam (Class 12) admit card.
- Log in using the school code/ID and password.
- Download and print the admit cards for distribution to students.
- Students must verify all details upon receipt and report discrepancies immediately.
Admit cards contain essential information including the student’s name, roll number, photograph, parent/guardian’s name, exam dates and timings, subjects, exam centre address, and important instructions.
Key Instructions for Examinees
The Jharkhand Academic Council has issued guidelines to ensure smooth conduct of the examinations:
- Students must reach the exam centre by 9:30 am.
- An extra 15 minutes will be provided to read the question paper.
- Only blue or black ballpoint pens are permitted.
- No candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall before the completion of the exam duration.
- The admit card is mandatory for entry and must be preserved carefully.
