More About JEE Main Examination
JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 serves as the qualifying entrance test for B.Arch (Bachelor of Architecture) and B.Planning (Bachelor of Planning) courses in participating institutions, including centrally funded technical institutions, NITs, IIITs, and other government and private colleges. The exam was held on January 29, 2026, as part of Session 1. Paper 2 differs from Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech), which focuses on engineering admissions and had its final answer key released earlier.
NTA conducts JEE Main twice a year in sessions to offer multiple attempts for better performance. The provisional answer key allows transparency, enabling candidates to estimate probable scores before final results are prepared after considering valid challenges.
Candidates are advised to regularly check jeemain.nta.nic.in for any notifications, as NTA may release updates on the final answer key and subsequent result timelines following the closure of the objection window on February 20, 2026.
