The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to close the objection window for the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Provisional Answer Key today, April 13, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) exams held earlier this month have until 11:50 PM tonight to submit their challenges.
This is the final opportunity for students to flag any discrepancies in the provisional keys before the NTA begins the process of compiling the final results.

If you believe a particular answer provided by the NTA is incorrect, you must act fast. The window for both submitting the challenge and paying the processing fee ends simultaneously.

How to Challenge the JEE Main 2026 Answer Key?
The process is entirely digital. Follow these steps to submit your objection:

Visit the Official Website: Go to jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Login: Click on the link for “Challenge (s) regarding Answer Key” and log in using your Application Number and Password (or Date of Birth).

Select Questions: You will see Question IDs in sequential order. The ID next to the question under the column ‘Correct Option’ is what NTA considers correct.

Claim your Answer: If you wish to challenge, use the Option IDs given in the next four columns by clicking the check box.

Upload Proof: It is highly recommended to upload supporting documents. All documents must be combined into a single PDF file.

Save and Pay: Click on ‘Save your claim and Pay Fee finally.’ Pay the non-refundable fee of ₹200 per question via Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.
What Happens After the Challenge Window Closes?
Once the deadline passes tonight, subject experts at the NTA will review all the challenges submitted by candidates.

Revision of Keys: If a challenge is found to be correct, the answer key will be revised. This revised key will be applied to the responses of all candidates who had that specific question.

Final Answer Key: Based on the expert review, a Final Answer Key will be released. This key is conclusive, and no further communication regarding it will be accepted.

Result Compilation: The results for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 will be prepared using the Final Answer Key.
JEE Advanced 2026 Expected Result Date
According to the current schedule, the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 results are expected to be declared by April 20, 2026. Along with the results, the NTA will also release the All India Ranks (AIR) and the cutoff marks required to qualify for JEE Advanced 2026.
