Karnataka 2nd PUC 2026 Question Paper Leak Denied by KSEAB

The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has denied rumours of a Karnataka 2nd PUC 2026 question paper leak, calling viral social media claims fake and assuring strict security measures for fair examinations.

The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has officially denied rumours regarding the alleged leak of the Karnataka 2nd PUC 2026 question papers. The clarification comes after several social media posts claimed that the upcoming board exam papers were circulating online ahead of the examination. The board has labelled these claims as false and misleading, urging students not to believe unverified content.

The Karnataka 2nd Pre-University Course (2nd PUC) examinations are scheduled to begin from February 28, 2026, across the state of Karnataka. With exams approaching, misinformation related to question paper leaks created panic among students and parents.

Viral Social Media Posts Trigger Confusion

In recent days, multiple posts and videos circulated on platforms such as WhatsApp, Instagram, and YouTube claiming that the 2nd PUC 2026 question papers were leaked. Some posts even offered access to “original” question papers for a small fee, attempting to exploit students’ exam anxiety.

Several of the viral screenshots showed blurred images of question papers without any official verification. Authorities later confirmed that many of these images were either edited documents or old question papers from previous academic sessions. Such misleading content caused confusion among candidates preparing for one of the most crucial examinations of their academic careers.

Students and parents expressed concerns about whether the examination schedule would be affected. However, officials clarified that there has been no compromise in exam security and the examinations will be conducted as planned.

KSEAB President Rejects Leak Claims

KSEAB President Prakash Nittali addressed the issue and clearly stated that no question paper has been leaked. He emphasized that the board follows a strict and confidential process for printing, storing, and distributing examination papers.

According to the board, multiple security layers are implemented to ensure that the question papers remain protected until they reach the examination centres. These include sealed distribution systems, controlled logistics, and monitoring mechanisms.

The president further stated that certain individuals are spreading fake information to mislead students and generate money through scams. Students have been advised to rely only on official announcements and avoid engaging with suspicious online sources.

Fake Paper Scams Targeting Students

Officials noted that scammers often take advantage of exam season by sharing fabricated question papers. These fraudsters typically demand payments through digital platforms and promise access to “leaked” content.

KSEAB clarified that purchasing or sharing such material is not only useless but can also lead to legal consequences. The board warned students that any involvement in unauthorized exam material distribution is considered a violation of examination rules.

Education authorities have urged students to focus on preparation instead of falling for shortcuts that may jeopardize their academic future.

Cyber Monitoring and Legal Action Initiated

To control the spread of misinformation, the board has initiated monitoring of social media platforms and online messaging channels. Authorities are working with cyber departments to track accounts responsible for circulating fake leak claims.

Officials stated that strict legal action will be taken against individuals found creating or distributing fraudulent exam-related content. The move aims to maintain transparency and protect the integrity of the board examinations.

The education department has also encouraged students to report suspicious messages or posts related to question paper leaks.

Karnataka 2nd PUC 2026 Exam Schedule and Security Measures

The Karnataka 2nd PUC examinations 2026 will be conducted from February 28 to March 17, 2026, in offline mode. More than 7 lakh students are expected to appear for the examinations across over 1,200 centres statewide.

To strengthen security, webcasting arrangements have been implemented at examination centres. Surveillance systems and strict invigilation protocols are being used to prevent malpractice.

Additionally, transport support has been arranged for students appearing in the board exams. State transport bodies including Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation and Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation will provide travel assistance to students carrying valid hall tickets to ensure smooth access to exam centres.

Students Advised to Ignore Rumours and Focus on Preparation

KSEAB has urged students to remain calm and avoid distractions caused by false information. Officials emphasized that the examination process remains secure and there is no change in the schedule.

Students are advised to depend only on official notifications and continue their revision with confidence. The board reiterated that spreading rumours about question paper leaks creates unnecessary stress and affects the examination environment.

With strong security arrangements in place, the Karnataka 2nd PUC 2026 examinations are expected to be conducted smoothly. Authorities have reassured candidates that maintaining fairness and transparency remains the board’s top priority.
