The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the registration deadline for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2026 to February 22, 2026, with the application fee payment window extended until February 24, 2026. This update, announced through an official notification on the KEA website cetonline.karnataka.gov.in, provides additional time for eligible candidates seeking admission to undergraduate engineering, architecture, pharmacy, and other professional courses in Karnataka institutions. KCET 2026 Revised Registration and Fee Payment Schedule
According to the official notification issued by KEA, the extension responds to requests from applicants and aims to allow more students to complete the process smoothly. The previous registration deadline was February 17, 2026, and fee payment was due by February 18, 2026.
- Registration deadline: February 22, 2026 (until 11:59 PM)
- Application fee payment deadline: February 24, 2026 (until 5:30 PM)
Candidates can access the application portal at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in and use their Aadhaar numbers for registration. Registered applicants can also utilise the online correction facility for any modifications.
Current Application Status and Exam Details
KEA reported that nearly 2.9 lakh candidates have completed registration so far, with around 2.5 lakh having paid the application fee. Additionally, document verification has progressed, with approximately 35,000 candidates verified at the college level and 1.8 lakh through the online SATS system.
The KCET 2026 will serve as the entrance examination for admissions to professional degree programmes across the state. The exam will be conducted in two daily sessions: morning from 10:30 AM to 11:50 AM and afternoon from 2:30 PM to 3:50 PM. Admit cards are expected to be issued on May 1, 2026, with results scheduled for declaration on June 30, 2026.

The application fees vary by category and domicile:
- General category (Karnataka): Rs 500
- SC/ST category: Rs 250
- Candidates from outside Karnataka: Rs 750
- Candidates from abroad: Rs 5,000
Required Documents for KCET Registration
Applicants need to prepare the following documents in scanned format during the online application:
- SSLC or Class 10 marksheet
- Aadhaar Card
- Student’s mobile number linked to WhatsApp and email address
- Scanned photograph and signature in specified formats
