MAH BDesign CET 2026 Exam Scheduled on April 5; Applications Open from January 22
The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, has announced the exam date for the MAH BDesign CET 2026. As per the official update, the entrance exam will be held on April 5, 2026. Along with the exam schedule, the CET Cell has also confirmed that the online application process will begin on January 22, 2026.
The MAH BDesign CET is a state-level entrance examination conducted for admission to Bachelor of Design (BDes) courses offered by government, aided, and private design institutes across Maharashtra. Every year, a large number of design aspirants appear for this exam to secure admission in reputed colleges.
MAH BDesign CET 2026 Exam Application Process and Important Dates
Candidates who wish to appear for MAH BDesign CET 2026 will be able to submit their applications through the official CET Cell portal starting January 22. The application process will be completely online. Applicants will need to register, fill in personal and academic details, upload required documents, and pay the application fee.
The CET Cell is expected to release the detailed schedule, including the last date to apply, fee payment deadline, and admit card release date, in the official information brochure soon. Candidates are advised to apply early to avoid last-minute technical issues.
MAH BDesign CET 2026 Exam Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for MAH BDesign CET 2026, candidates must have passed or be appearing in the Class 12 (HSC) examination or an equivalent exam from a recognised board. Students from any stream—Science, Arts, or Commerce—can apply, provided they meet the basic eligibility requirements mentioned in the brochure.
There is no upper age limit for appearing in the exam, as per previous years’ guidelines.
MAH BDesign CET 2026 Exam Pattern and Mode
The MAH BDesign CET 2026 will be conducted in computer-based (online) mode. The question paper will test candidates on areas such as design aptitude, visualisation skills, creative thinking, logical reasoning, and general awareness related to design.
The exam is designed to assess a student’s creativity and problem-solving ability rather than rote learning. The detailed exam pattern, number of questions, and marking scheme will be shared officially by the CET Cell.
MAH BDesign CET 2026 Exam Admit Card and Result
The MAH BDesign CET 2026 admit card will be released a few days before the exam date. Candidates will need to download the hall ticket from the official website using their login credentials. The admit card will carry important details such as exam centre, reporting time, and exam-day instructions.
After the exam is conducted, the CET Cell will release the result and merit list, followed by the centralised admission process (CAP) for seat allotment.
