Provisional Eligibility List and Verification

According to the official notice dated February 19, 2026, the list includes candidates whose documents were scrutinised and found eligible for filling NRI choices in the stray vacancy round. The list is provisional and subject to change based on further verification. Candidates are required to search for their NEET PG roll number in the attached PDF to confirm inclusion. The authority has not announced further details yet on the total number of candidates in the stray round list or exact vacancy numbers under the NRI quota.

Priority System for NRI Seat Allotment

In a significant update, the MCC has introduced a structured priority system for allotment of seats under the NRI category specifically for the stray vacancy round of NEET PG Counselling 2025. Allotment will proceed sequentially, prioritising higher categories first, subject to seat availability.

  • Priority 1: NRI candidates and children of NRIs
  • Priority 2: First-degree relatives of NRI wards, followed by second-degree relatives of NRI wards

Seats will be allocated to Priority 1 candidates initially. Only if vacancies remain after exhausting Priority 1 will Priority 2 candidates be considered.

Document Submission and Reporting Requirements

Candidates allotted seats must produce original documents at the time of reporting to the allotted medical or dental college. These include proofs of NRI status, relationship certificates, and other required evidence. Failure to submit valid original documents may result in cancellation of the allotment. The notice emphasises strict adherence to document verification to avoid discrepancies.

Counselling Context and Access

The stray vacancy round addresses remaining unfilled seats after previous counselling rounds for NEET PG 2025, which qualifies candidates for MD, MS, PG Diploma, and MDS programmes across India. The NRI category allotment follows guidelines from competent authorities to ensure transparency in the process. Eligible candidates should regularly monitor mcc.nic.in/pg-medical-counselling for any additional notices, updates on allotment results, or further instructions from MCC.
