MP Board Revises Class 10 and 12 Board Exam Schedule for 2026
The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE), the conducting authority for Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations, has released a revised timetable for the 2026 annual examinations following a review of the initially announced schedule. As per the official notification issued on January 13, 2026, the board has rescheduled several subject examinations while retaining the overall examination window across all affiliated schools in Madhya Pradesh.
Under the revised schedule, Class 12 board examinations will commence from February 10, 2026, while Class 10 examinations will begin from February 17, 2026.
Key Changes in MPBSE Revised Board Exam Timetable 2026
The revision mainly impacts Hindi and select language papers, with changes introduced to avoid subject overlaps and streamline the examination sequence.
According to the updated timetable:

Class 10 Hindi examination, earlier scheduled for February 11, will now be conducted on March 6, 2026.

Class 12 Urdu and Marathi examinations, previously fixed for February 9, have been rescheduled to March 6, 2026.

Class 12 Hindi paper, originally planned for February 7, will now be held on March 7, 2026.
Practical examinations for both Class 10 and Class 12 will continue as per the original plan and are scheduled between January 20 and February 5, 2026.
Exam Timing and Conduct Guidelines
All MPBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations will be conducted in a single morning shift from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.
There are no changes to the exam duration, question paper pattern, or evaluation scheme.
The board has not announced further details yet regarding additional subject-wise modifications or district-specific provisions.
Reason for Timetable Revision
According to MPBSE, the timetable revision was carried out after receiving feedback from stakeholders and conducting a detailed review to ensure smoother conduct of examinations. The revised schedule provides students with adequate preparation time while maintaining alignment with the academic calendar prescribed by the Ministry of Education.

The revised timetable affects nearly 20 lakh students appearing for MPBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations in 2026. The board has instructed all affiliated schools to immediately inform students through notice boards, assemblies, and official communication channels to avoid confusion.
