The NTET is a mandatory eligibility test for postgraduates in the Indian System of Medicine (Ayurveda, Siddha, and Unani) and Homoeopathy who wish to enter the teaching profession. 1. Fields You CANNOT Change
To maintain the integrity of the registration, the following details are locked:

2. Fields with Limited Editing (Choose Only One)
Candidates can change any one of the following:

Educational Qualifications: Graduation and Post-Graduation details.

Personal Details: Date of Birth, Gender, Category, and Sub-category (PwD/PwBD).

Aadhaar Details: For those who registered using an ID other than Aadhaar.

Note on Fees: If a change in Category or PwD status results in a higher application fee, candidates must pay the balance amount online via Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. Conversely, any excess fee paid previously will not be refunded.

Exam Pattern at a Glance
The NTET 2026 will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The paper will consist of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) to be completed in 120 minutes. Notably, there is no negative marking, and the medium of the exam will be bilingual (English and Hindi).
