The National Testing Agency has released a public notice on January 27, 2026, urging students to complete their registrations for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2026 without delay. The conducting authority, under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, emphasised the importance of timely submissions to facilitate a smooth process for all candidates. Also, as last year, the site couldn’t function on the last date due to a huge number of candidates completing their registration.
The online application process for CUET (UG) 2026 began on January 3, 2026. Candidates must complete their registrations by January 30, 2026, up to 11:50 PM. Following this, the submission of application fees is required online by January 31, 2026, up to 11:50 PM.

Fee Payment Deadline: January 31, 2026 (11:50 PM)
The authority has not announced further details yet on the exact number of vacancies or specific eligibility conditions beyond the standard requirements for undergraduate admissions through this entrance exam.
Examination Schedule and Format
The National Testing Agency will administer the CUET (UG) 2026 in computer-based test mode. As per the notification, the tentative dates for the exam are set between May 11 and May 31, 2026. Test centers will be available in multiple cities across India and in 15 locations outside the country, ensuring accessibility for a wide range of applicants.
