NTA Releases Subject-Wise Schedule for CUET PG 2026 Examinations

The National Testing Agency has announced the subject-wise timetable for CUET PG 2026. The computer-based examination will be conducted from March 6 to March 27, 2026, across 44 shifts covering 157 subjects. Candidates can download the complete schedule here.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the subject-wise timetable for the Common University Entrance Test – Postgraduate (CUET PG) 2026. The detailed schedule outlines the exam dates, shift timings, subject codes, and allotted slots for the postgraduate entrance exam that will determine admissions to various central, state, deemed, and private universities across India for the 2026-27 academic session.

Exam Dates & Shift Timings

  • Exam period: March 6 to March 27, 2026

  • Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)

  • Total subjects: 157 across multiple disciplines

  • Total shifts: 44 shifts conducted nationwide

  • Daily shift timings:

    • Shift 1: 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM

    • Shift 2: 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM

    • Shift 3: 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM
      Each paper will be 90 minutes long, and candidates must appear for their allocated shift as per the official timetable.

About the Subject-Wise Timetable

The NTA timetable specifies:

  • Exam dates for each subject

  • The corresponding subject code

  • The shift in which it will be conducted

On the opening day (March 6, 2026), exams will take place in multiple streams such as Yoga (COQP21) in Shift 1 and Sports Physiology, Biochemistry, Nutrition, Biomechanics, Sanskrit, Urdu, and Textile Design in later shifts. Aspirants must check the official PDF for their exact date and shift to avoid confusion.

Medium & Important Instructions

  • Most papers will be bilingual (English & Hindi), with exceptions for certain technical and language subjects.

  • Some language and specialised papers may be offered only in specific languages as per the official notification.

  • Candidates must carefully verify their dates and shift codes before the exam.

City Intimation Slip & Admit Cards

The City Intimation Slip — revealing the candidate’s test city and centre — will be released about 10 days before the start of the exam on the official portal. After that, the admit cards will be made available separately before respective exam dates.

The CUET PG exam serves as the centralised entrance gateway for admission into postgraduate programmes such as MA, MSc, MCom, MBA, and other postgraduate degrees in central universities like Delhi University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Banaras Hindu University, and many more participating institutions across India.
