PSEB Declares 3rd International Punjabi Language Olympiad 2025 Results; NRI Students Lead Globally

The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has announced the results of the 3rd International Punjabi Language Olympiad 2025. Organised to promote the Punjabi mother tongue at a global level, the Olympiad witnessed participation from over 2.25 lakh students, showing a sharp rise compared to previous editions. According to PSEB Chairman Amarpal Singh, students from the Punjabi diaspora, particularly NRIs from Norway and Kenya, delivered outstanding performances across international categories.

PSEB Olympiad 2025: International Toppers and Performance Highlights

As per official updates released by PSEB, students studying in international Punjabi schools dominated the merit lists:

  • International Category (Classes 3–5):
    Niamat Kaur Brar from Punjabi School, Oslo (Norway) secured first rank, followed by Ahil Singh and Harseerat Kaur from the same institution.

  • International Category (Classes 6–8):
    Simrit Kaur of SGGR Gurmat School, Nairobi (Kenya) topped the category, with Amrit Kaur Virdi and Navjot Singh Matharu ranking second and third.

  • International Category (Classes 9–12):
    Parmeet Singh Gurm from Punjabi School, Oslo (Norway) emerged as the topper.

The results highlight the expanding global footprint of Punjabi language education supported by PSEB initiatives.

Participation Growth and Prize Structure Announced by PSEB

The Olympiad recorded over 2.25 lakh registrations, reflecting increased awareness and outreach efforts by PSEB and the Punjab government. To encourage excellence, PSEB has announced the following awards:

  • First Prize: ₹11,000

  • Second Prize: ₹7,100

  • Third to Tenth Prize: ₹5,100

Schools with the highest participation will also receive special recognition from PSEB.

  2. Click on “List of Winners” or district-wise/international result links

  3. Download the topper and merit list PDFs

PSEB has clarified that results are published in PDF format, and further updates on certificates or individual scorecards will be announced later.
