RBSE Revises Class 12 Board Exam Timings for Select Papers in 2026: Check Latest Schedule

The Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (RBSE) has revised the examination timings for certain papers in the ongoing Class 12 board exams 2026. The changes, announced on February 9, 2026, affect specific subjects scheduled on February 17 and February 24, 2026, moving them from the morning to the evening shift.

According to the official update from RBSE, the decision stems from overcrowding at examination centres. Reports indicated that more than 140 centres faced capacity issues for the February 17 examination, while over 450 schools encountered similar challenges for the February 24 paper due to the large number of enrolled students exceeding available seating.

RBSE’s Revised 12th Board Exam Timings

Rajasthan class 12 board exams 2026 are schedules from February 12 to March 11, 2026. Timings for most theory papers remains unchanged at 8:30 AM to 11:45 AM.

These revisions apply to all examination centres across Rajasthan for the Class 12 board examinations 2026. Besides class 12th board exams, RBSE class 10 board exams 2026 are scheduled from February 12 and February 28, 2026.

Reasons Behind the Revision

The Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan took the step following a review prompted by feedback on centre capacity constraints. The authority stated that the adjustment ensures smoother and more orderly conduct of the examinations. Previously, the board also announced a major revision by conducting board examinations twice a year for the session 2026-27. While the first examination is mandatory for all students, the second examination is intended to allow students to improve their performance in up to three subjects.

Students appearing for the affected subjects are advised to note the new timings and reach their respective centres accordingly. Admit cards and other examination-related guidelines continue to apply as per the original instructions.

RBSE Examination Framework

The RBSE Class 12 exams 2026 cover various streams including Arts, Science, and Commerce. Practical examinations for relevant subjects were completed earlier in January 2026.
