The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have issued a revision to the schedule for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) under CEN 05/2025 for Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Supervisor (DMS), and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) posts. The examination will now take place on February 19, 20, and 25, 2026. This adjustment applies nationwide to all candidates who applied for the recruitment drive covering 2585 vacancies. Through this recruitment, Railways will fill 2585 posts in the organisation, up from 2569 earlier. The vacancies have been increased for the Chennai and Jammu-Srinagar regions.
RRB JE 2026: Steps to download the City Intimation Slip
Visit the official website of the concerned regional RRB or rrbapply.gov.in.
Locate and click on the link for CEN 05/2025 Exam City & Date Intimation or RRB JE city intimation slip.
Enter the required login credentials, such as registration number and date of birth.
Submit the details to view the slip, then download and print a copy for reference.
The authority has emphasised that the city intimation slip is not the admit card. The full e-call letter or admit card will be available approximately four days before the candidate’s scheduled exam date.
Key Requirements at the RRB JE Examination Centre
Candidates must complete Aadhaar-linked biometric authentication prior to the exam if not already done via rrbapply.gov.in. On the test day, they are required to carry their original Aadhaar card or an e-verified Aadhaar printout to facilitate smooth entry and verification at the centre.
The recruitment process for these technical posts in Indian Railways targets qualified engineering and related graduates, with selections based on merit through the multi-stage examination. Further stages, including additional tests if applicable, will be notified later.
