The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, has released the SSB HC Admit Card 2026 for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) scheduled from February 9, 2026. Candidates appearing for the physical tests can download the SSB HC Admit Card from the official website ssb.gov.in using their registration number and password. The admit cards have been issued for candidates shortlisted for the next phase of recruitment for Head Constable (Ministerial) posts. The PET/PST process began on January 28, 2026, and will continue in multiple phases through February 2026 as part of the ongoing recruitment drive for 115 vacancies.

SSB HC Admit Card 2026: Recruitment Details and Vacancy Distribution

According to the official recruitment notification, the SSB is filling 115 Head Constable (Ministerial) posts under Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted Ministerial (Combatised) category. The category-wise vacancy distribution is as follows:

  • Unreserved (UR): 47

  • EWS: 11

  • OBC: 26

  • SC: 21

  • ST: 10

Additionally, 10% of total vacancies are reserved for ex-servicemen under the recruitment rules applicable nationwide.

SSB HC Admit Card 2026 PET/PST Schedule and Selection Stages

Candidates who downloaded the SSB HC Admit Card must appear for the PET and PST as per the schedule mentioned in their hall ticket. The physical tests started on January 28, 2026, with additional phases continuing through February. The February 9 schedule marks one of the ongoing testing phases for remaining shortlisted applicants. The physical tests form the early stage of the selection process, followed by written examination, skill test, document verification, and medical examination.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) Requirements for SSB HC Admit Card Candidates

Candidates must meet the following PET criteria:

  • Male Candidates: 1.6 km race in 6 minutes 30 seconds

  • Female Candidates: 800-metre race in 4 minutes

Ex-servicemen are exempted from the PET but must appear for the PST and subsequent recruitment stages.

Physical Standard Test (PST) Criteria Under SSB HC Admit Card 2026

Candidates appearing with the SSB HC Admit Card 2026 must fulfil the prescribed physical standards:

  • Male (General/OBC/SC/EWS): Minimum height 165 cm; chest 77 cm with 5 cm expansion

  • Female (General/OBC/SC/EWS): Minimum height 155 cm

Height relaxation applies for candidates from hilly regions and Scheduled Tribes:

  • Male: 162.5 cm

  • Female: 150 cm

Candidates must carry the following documents to the exam venue:

Pay Scale and Benefits for Head Constable (Ministerial) Posts

Selected candidates will be appointed at Level-4 of the pay matrix, with a basic salary ranging from Rs 25,500 to Rs 81,100 per month. Additional allowances include Dearness Allowance, Ration Money, and Washing Allowance as per central government norms.
