1. Educational Qualification

• General Posts: A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

• Junior Statistical Officer (JSO): Bachelor’s Degree with at least 60% marks in Mathematics at the 12th-grade level OR a Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at the degree level.

• Statistical Investigator Grade-II: Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics as a subject in all three years of graduation.

2. Age Limit

The age requirement varies depending on the specific post, generally ranging from 18 to 32 years.

• Most Posts: 18–30 years.

• Junior Statistical Officer: Up to 32 years.

• Auditor/Accountant/Clerk: 18–27 years.

3. Nationality

A candidate must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962.

SSC CGL 2026 Exam Pattern Overview

The SSC CGL 2026 recruitment process will consist of two main stages:

• Tier 1 (Preliminary): An objective-type computer-based exam consisting of four sections: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. It carries 200 marks and lasts for 60 minutes.
