Second-year examinations are scheduled to start on February 26, 2026. These annual board exams, conducted in offline mode, will determine the academic progression and higher education eligibility for nearly one million students enrolled in the first and second years of intermediate courses under the Telangana jurisdiction for the academic year 2025-26.

According to official schedules released by the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE), the theory examinations for Intermediate 1st year run from February 25 to March 17, 2026, while 2nd year exams are set from February 26 to March 18, 2026. All papers are conducted in the morning shift from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon in offline pen-and-paper mode.

The examinations cover various streams including science, commerce, arts, and vocational subjects, with the first day for 1st year featuring the Second Language Paper-I.

Admit Card and Entry Guidelines for TGBIE 1st & 2nd Yr Exams

Hall tickets, which are mandatory for entry, were made available prior to the exams. According to guidelines issued by TSBIE, candidates must carry a printed copy of their admit card, which includes details such as name, examination centre, subject schedule, and timings.

  • Students should arrive at the examination centre by 8:45 am to allow for security checks and seating.
  • Only authorised items are permitted: admit card, blue or black ballpoint pens, pencils, erasers, and a ruler or geometry box if required.
  • Electronic devices, unauthorised documents, or any prohibited materials are strictly not allowed.

Recent updates from the board revised the reporting time slightly, allowing entry up to 9:05 am in some cases, while maintaining the exam start at 9:00 am.

Key Instructions for Examinees

The board has emphasised the importance of adhering to exam day protocols to ensure smooth conduct. Candidates without a valid hall ticket will not be permitted to enter the centre. The TSBIE has urged students to follow all instructions mentioned on the admit card and timetable available on the official website.
