  • Parents: Ranjit Singh and Neelam Singh

  • Residence: Abhaipur village, Ghazipur district, Uttar Pradesh

The statement explained that several media reports had mentioned two candidates with the same name claiming the rank, prompting the commission to provide an official clarification.

Social Media Posts and Documents Intensified the Row

Before the clarification was issued, the Ghazipur-based candidate had shared documents on social media, alleging that her identity and rank were being misused. She also reportedly shared copies of her identification records and interview-related documents to support her claim.

Meanwhile, the candidate from Bihar continued to maintain that she had secured Rank 301 and requested further clarification from UPSC once detailed mark sheets are released.
