HP NEET MDS round 2 final allotment out: report to colleges by October 3

Atal Medical and Research University (AMRU), Himachal Pradesh, today released the HP NEET MDS Round 2 final seat allocation for the 2026-27 academic session. Candidates who participated in the second round of state MDS counselling can access their allotment status on the official website, amruhp.ac.in.

This round is the final regular allotment before the state mop-up round. Candidates who accept and join their allotted seat by the deadline will secure their Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) admission for the 2026-27 session in state government and private dental colleges affiliated with AMRU. Those who fail to report by the stipulated date will lose their allocated seat, and it will be added to the vacancy pool for the upcoming mop-up round.

HP NEET MDS Round 2 Allotment and Reporting Deadline

The final seat allocation for HP NEET MDS Round 2 was published on September 29, 2026. Allotted candidates are required to report to their assigned dental college by October 3, 2026. No extension for reporting will be granted after this deadline. Candidates can download their allotment letter from the university portal erpamruhp.in using their login credentials. This allotment letter is a mandatory document for the reporting process.

The seat allocation was prepared based on several factors, including the NEET MDS 2026 merit rank, the candidate’s category, the choices filled during the counselling process, and the availability of seats. HP Quota candidates were also permitted to fill choices for Management Quota seats in private colleges.

Counselling Schedule and Next Steps

The second round of counselling involved several stages. Registration for Round 2 took place from September 15 to 17, 2026. The Round 2 Merit List was after that released on September 19, 2026, with the merit list of MDS 2nd Round Counselling 2026-27 specifically released on September 21, 2026, under official notice number AMRU/(COE)-Admission- 121/2026-27(MDS)- 5605 Dated: 21.09.2026. The choice filling window was active from September 21 to 23, 2026, leading to the final seat allocation on September 29, 2026.

Candidates are advised to log in to erpamruhp.in immediately to download their Round 2 allotment letter. They must verify the allotted college, course, and category. It is also necessary to arrange all original certificates and category proofs in advance and keep the tuition and admission fees ready as per the college’s notice. After reporting physically to the allotted dental college by October 3, 2026, candidates should collect the admission slip and joining report from the college office.

Required Documents for Reporting

Candidates reporting to their allotted dental college must carry a specific set of documents for verification. It is mandatory to bring all original documents along with two sets of self-attested photocopies. The HP NEET MDS counselling process manages state-level admissions for MDS seats in government and private dental colleges across Himachal Pradesh, based on NEET MDS scores.

The Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, is responsible for online counselling for 50% All India Quota Post-Graduate Medical and Dental seats. AMRU is expected to release the HP NEET MDS mop-up round vacancy list and schedule shortly after October 3, 2026.
