The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) today, August 17, 2026, announced an extension for the WB NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 1 registration deadline until further notice. Qualified candidates now able to apply online at wbmcc.nic.in. This extension applies to both fresh registrations and fee payments for the first round of counselling. The initial registration window for Round 1 was scheduled to run from August 13 to August 22, 2026, with fee payment originally closing on August 15, 2026.

The decision to extend the registration period aims to accommodate a larger pool of eligible candidates for MBBS and BDS seats across West Bengal.
