The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Chhattisgarh, initiated the second round of choice filling for AYUSH undergraduate courses on October 3, 2026. This process is part of the ongoing counselling for admission to BAMS, BHMS, and BNYS programmes for the 2026-27 academic session in the state.

This current round follows the release of the Chhattisgarh AYUSH 2026 Round 1 allotment lists for BAMS, BHMS, and BNYS courses on September 23, 2026. The Round 1 BAMS allotment list included 347 candidates, while the BNYS allotment list contained 68 candidates.

AYUSH UG Seat Matrix and Reservations

The Chhattisgarh AYUSH UG Counselling Seat Matrix for 2026-27 was released on September 6, 2026, detailing the distribution of seats for BAMS and BHMS courses under both All India Quota (AIQ) and State Quota categories. A total of 59 seats are available under the All India Quota across four colleges, while 251 State Quota seats are available across listed institutions.

State Quota seats incorporate various reservations, including 10% for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 2% for Special Backward Scheduled Tribe, 30% for Scheduled Tribe (ST), 12% for Scheduled Caste (SC), and 14% for Other Backward Class (OBC). In addition, horizontal reservation categories such as Sainik (Defense), Freedom Fighter, Divyang (PwD), and Mahila (Women) are factored into the seat allocation.

Parallel to the AYUSH counselling, the Chhattisgarh NEET UG 2026 Round 2 online registration and application window was open from September 5, 2026, at 11:00 AM, until September 8, 2026, at 11:59 PM. Choice filling and choice locking for NEET UG Round 2 took place from September 5, 2026, at 11:00 AM, until September 9, 2026, at 11:59 PM.

The Round 2 provisional allotment list for NEET UG (MBBS/BDS) 2026-27 admissions was released on September 14, 2026. Scrutiny and admission for NEET UG Round 2 commenced on September 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM, with the last date for scrutiny being September 22, 2026, up to 4:00 PM. The final date for admission at the allotted institute for NEET UG Round 2 was September 22, 2026, up to 5:00 PM. All holidays were considered working days for this process.

Admission Rules and Forfeiture

According to Rule 7(viii) of the Chhattisgarh Medical, Dental & Physiotherapy UG Admission Rules 2025, candidates who have been allotted a seat must personally appear for document scrutiny. Failure to take admission after Round 2 allotment, or surrendering a seat after taking admission, will result in the forfeiture of the registration fee.

Candidates whose seats were retained from Round 1 are not required to participate in the current round’s admission process. Upgraded candidates must obtain a Relieving Letter from their previously allotted institution before completing admission at the newly allotted college.
