The Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) announced today, October 7, 2026, that the KMAT 2026 Session 2 exam will be held on November 14, 2026. This examination is for admission to MBA courses offered by various universities, departments, and affiliated or autonomous colleges in Kerala for the 2026 academic session.

The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram, had invited applications for the Kerala Management Aptitude Test (Second Session of KMAT-2026). The KMAT Kerala 2026 Session 2 registration began on April 27, 2026, with applications accepted until 4 pm on May 5, 2026, via www.cee.kerala.gov.in.

KMAT 2026 Session 2 Application Details and Fees

Candidates applied for KMAT 2026 Session 2 online through the official portal. The application fee for General and SEBC candidates was Rs. 1,000, while SC candidates were required to pay Rs. 500. ST candidates were exempted from paying any application fees. Fees could be remitted using Internet Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card. Applicants were also required to upload a recent passport-size colour photograph and signature to their online application.

The KMAT Kerala exam is conducted twice a year, with the KMAT 2026 score being applicable exclusively for MBA admissions for the academic year 2026. The previous KMAT Kerala 2025 Session 2 exam was scheduled for May 31, 2025, and registration for KMAT Kerala 2026 Session 1 started on December 22, 2025, with the exam held on January 25, 2026.

Examination Structure and Marking Scheme

The KMAT 2026 Session 2 exam will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) conducted across all districts in Kerala. The examination will have a duration of 3 hours and will consist of 180 Objective Type, Multiple Choice Questions. Each correct answer will fetch four marks, leading to a total of 720 marks for the examination. A penalty of one mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

The questions will be distributed across four sections: English Language Usage and Reading Comprehension (50 Questions), Quantitative Aptitude (50 Questions), Data Sufficiency and Logical Reasoning (40 Questions), and General Knowledge and Current Affairs (40 Questions). The exam is conducted in English medium and aims to support admission to over 20 MBA colleges in Kerala.

Eligibility and Admission Criteria

To be eligible for admission, General category candidates and SEBC candidates must secure a minimum of 10% (72 marks) of the total 720 marks. SC/ST/PD category candidates are required to secure 7.5% (54 marks) to qualify. The KMAT Kerala 2026 results for Session 2 are anticipated by the end of July or early August 2026.

Admission to MBA courses will be based on a weighted evaluation: 80% weightage for the Entrance Examination marks, 10% for group discussion, and 10% for the interview. Candidates can download their Admit Cards from www.cee.kerala.gov.in once the date is announced by the CEE. Documents proving eligibility, including nationality, nativity, reservations, age, and academic qualifications, must be presented to college or university authorities at the time of admission.
