Fresh registration for eligible candidates opened today, October 7, 2026, for vacant Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) seats across government and private dental colleges in Himachal Pradesh.

This third round of counselling is designated as the final online window for admissions before any subsequent stray vacancy allocations. It provides a last opportunity for MDS aspirants to secure a dental seat for the current academic session, following the completion of the first two rounds.

Registration Process and Fees for Round 3

Candidates interested in participating in HP NEET MDS Round 3 counselling must complete their registration online through the official portal, amruhp.ac.in. A valid NEET MDS 2026 scorecard is a mandatory prerequisite for all applicants. The registration process involves the submission of an online form and payment of a non-refundable counselling fee.

Payment can be made using various online modes, including net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI. The fee structure varies by category, with General/Unreserved candidates required to pay Rs 3,600, while SC/ST/EWS category candidates must pay Rs 2,500. Persons with Disability are exempt from paying this fee.

Eligibility and Required Documents

Fresh candidates who did not participate in the earlier two rounds of counselling are eligible to apply for Round 3. Himachal domicile and state quota rules will be applied as per the official prospectus. Applicants claiming state quota benefits must provide a Himachali bonafide certificate.

A thorough set of documents is required for verification. These include the NEET MDS 2026 admit card and result, BDS degree, internship completion certificate, and Class 10 and Class 12 certificates. The NEET MDS 2026 result was declared on May 15, 2026. AMRUHP has been conducting the state quota MDS counselling for the Himachal region. The provisional merit list for the 1st Round of MDS Counselling 2026-27 was released on August 26, 2026, with the final state merit list displayed on August 27, 2026. Online choice filling and locking for Round 1 occurred from August 29 to August 31, 2026, followed by the provisional seat allotment result on September 2, 2026, and the final result on September 4, 2026. Physical reporting and document verification for Round 1 concluded on September 6, 2026.

For the second round, AMRU released the Merit List for MDS 2nd Round Counselling on September 21, 2026, listing 126 candidates. Online registration and choice filling for Round 2 were open from September 24 to September 26, 2026. The provisional seat allotment letter for Round 2 was issued on September 27, 2026, with certificate verification and admission at allotted institutes taking place from September 27 to September 30, 2026.
