CMAT 2026 Exam Live Updates: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has successfully conducted the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2026 today at test centres across the country. Thousands of MBA aspirants appeared for the national-level entrance exam to secure admission to AICTE-approved management programmes. Soon after the exam concluded, coaching experts released the CMAT 2026 question paper analysis, giving candidates a clear idea of the difficulty level, good attempts, and expected cut-offs.
CMAT 2026 Question Paper Analysis
As per initial student feedback and expert reviews, the CMAT 2026 question paper was rated moderate overall, with some sections being time-consuming. The exam followed the usual CMAT pattern with five sections and a total of 100 questions.
Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation: This section was slightly lengthy and calculation-heavy. Questions were mostly from arithmetic, algebra, and data interpretation sets. Candidates found a few questions tricky.
Logical Reasoning: The difficulty level ranged from easy to moderate. Topics included coding-decoding, syllogisms, and arrangements.
Language Comprehension: This section was considered easy. Reading comprehension passages were short, and vocabulary questions were direct.
General Awareness: Questions focused on current affairs, business news, and static GK. Many candidates found this section scoring.
Innovation & Entrepreneurship: The section was moderate, with conceptual questions related to startups, business models, and innovation trends.
Overall, candidates with good time management found the paper manageable.
CMAT 2026 Answer Key (Expected)
The provisional CMAT 2026 answer key is expected to be released by NTA within a few days after the exam. Once released, candidates will be able to download the answer key and their response sheet using their application number and password. NTA will also open an objection window, allowing candidates to challenge any incorrect answers by paying a nominal fee.
The final CMAT 2026 answer key and result will be declared after reviewing all challenges.

Based on the exam difficulty and previous years’ trends, experts have shared the expected CMAT 2026 cut-offs:
Top MBA colleges: 95–99 percentile
Tier-2 colleges: 85–94 percentile
Tier-3 colleges: 70–84 percentile
Actual cut-offs may vary depending on the number of candidates, seat availability, and institute-wise admission criteria.
What’s Next After CMAT 2026?
After the CMAT 2026 results are announced, participating institutes will release their individual shortlisting and counselling schedules. Candidates must apply separately to colleges accepting CMAT scores and attend further selection rounds like Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
