NEET-SS Counselling 2025 to Begin in February 2026 for Super Speciality Admissions

NEET-SS Counselling 2025 will start in February 2026 for admissions to super speciality medical courses across India. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), operating under the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, has announced that counselling for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Super Speciality (NEET-SS) 2025 will commence in February 2026.

The centralized counselling process will facilitate admissions to DM, MCh, and DrNB super speciality programmes across participating medical institutions in India for the 2025-26 academic session. The detailed counselling schedule, including registration dates and round-wise timelines, will be released soon on the official MCC portal.

Eligibility Requirements for NEET-SS 2025 Counselling

Candidates must satisfy the following conditions to participate:

  • Must have qualified NEET-SS 2025, conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS)

  • Hold a recognized postgraduate medical degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the relevant feeder speciality

  • Completion of the mandatory internship within the prescribed cutoff date

  • Valid registration with the State Medical Council or the National Medical Commission (NMC)

Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGs) must additionally possess:

  • NMC screening test qualification

  • Eligibility certificate issued by NMC

No additional relaxations or category-specific provisions have been announced beyond existing norms.

NEET-SS counselling will be conducted online by MCC through multiple rounds to ensure maximum seat utilization:

  • Mop-Up Round

  • Payment of counselling fee and security deposit

  • Choice filling of preferred institutes and super speciality courses
