RSMSSB REET Mains 2026 Begins Tomorrow: Key Guidelines and Admit Card Details Issued

The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSMSSB) will conduct the REET Mains 2026 examination for Level-1 and Level-2 starting January 17, 2026. The two-day examination is part of the recruitment process for third-grade teachers in Rajasthan government schools. Candidates who qualified the earlier REET Primary (Level-1) and Upper Primary (Level-2) exams are eligible to appear for REET Mains and must download their admit cards from the official portal rssb.rajasthan.gov.in.

REET Mains 2026 Schedule and Paper Pattern

As per the official notification, the REET Mains examination will be held as follows:

  • January 17, 2026: Level-2 (Senior Teacher) – Two shifts

  • January 18, 2026: Level-1 (Primary Teacher) – Two shifts

Each REET Mains paper consists of 150 objective-type questions carrying a total of 300 marks. The duration of each paper is 2 hours and 30 minutes. A negative marking of one-third marks is applicable for every incorrect answer. The exam will be conducted in offline (OMR-based) mode at designated centres across Rajasthan.

REET Mains Admit Card Download and Exam-Day Guidelines

The RSMSSB has released the REET Mains 2026 admit cards on its official website. Candidates must carry a printed admit card along with a valid photo identity proof to the examination centre. Key instructions issued for REET Mains candidates include:

  • Reach the examination centre at least 60 minutes before the scheduled time

  • Entry gates will close 30 minutes before the exam begins

  • Late entry will not be permitted under any circumstances

  • Mobile phones, electronic gadgets, calculators, and study material are strictly prohibited

  • Biometric verification and frisking are mandatory

REET Mains 2026 Reporting Time and Shift Timings

Candidates appearing for REET Mains 2026 should note the following shift-wise timings:

  • Morning Shift: Reporting by 9:00 AM | Exam: 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM

  • Afternoon Shift: Reporting by 2:00 PM | Exam: 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM

Applicants must carefully check their shift, exam centre, and subject details mentioned on the REET Mains admit card. No updates regarding additional centres or changes in schedule have been announced so far.

About REET Mains 2026 Recruitment Process

The REET Mains examination is the second and final written stage for recruitment to third-grade teacher posts in Rajasthan. Conducted by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board under the Department of Elementary Education, the recruitment covers:

  • Level-1: Classes 1 to 5

  • Level-2: Classes 6 to 8

Candidates qualifying the REET Mains 2026 will be called for document verification, followed by final merit-based appointments. Aspirants are advised to rely only on official RSMSSB notifications for accurate and timely updates.
