Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH), acting on behalf of the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE), has released the official examination schedule for the Telangana Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET or TG PGECET) 2026. The computer-based entrance exam, conducted for admissions to postgraduate programmes in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, and Pharmacy across Telangana for the academic year 2026-27, is scheduled from May 28 to May 31, 2026.

Exam Dates and Shift Timings
According to the official notification and test schedule published on the TG PGECET portal, the examination will be held over four days in two shifts daily:
- Morning Shift: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Reporting time: 8:30 AM)
- Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM (Reporting time: 12:30 PM)
The exam consists of 120 multiple-choice questions to be answered in two hours. A detailed subject-wise test schedule is available on the official website for candidates to check their specific paper timings.
Admit Card Release and Download Process
The TS PGECET 2026 admit card will be available for download starting May 19, 2026. Registered candidates who have submitted their application forms can access their hall tickets through the official portal.

Steps to Download TS PGECET Admit Card 2026
- Visit the official TG PGECET website at pgecet.tgche.ac.in.
- Locate and click on the ‘Download Hall Ticket’ or ‘Admit Card’ link under the candidate login section.
- Enter the required login credentials, including registration number and password created during application submission.
- Submit the details to view and download the admit card displaying candidate details, exam centre, date, shift, and instructions.
- Print a clear copy of the hall ticket and carry it along with a valid photo ID to the examination centre.
Candidates are advised to verify all printed information on the admit card and report to the allotted centre as per the specified reporting time to avoid disqualification.
Application Window and Related Dates
Online application submission commenced on February 27, 2026. The last date for submission without a late fee is March 6, 2026, with provisions for late applications up to specified dates in May 2026, carrying additional fees. The authority has not announced further details yet on the exact number of vacancies, participating institutions, or the counselling schedule following the examination.
Eligible candidates include those holding relevant qualifying degrees in engineering, technology, pharmacy, or architecture, as per the guidelines outlined in the official notification. The TS PGECET serves as the primary entrance route for M.E./M.Tech, M.Pharm, M.Arch, and related postgraduate courses in Telangana state universities and affiliated colleges.
