The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEE) has announced the schedule for the Joint Entrance Lateral Entry Test (JELET) 2026. The WBJEE JELET 2026 will be held on 13th June 2026. The WBJEE JELET 2026 registration will begin on 19th March 2026, i.e. , Thursday. JELET 2026 will be conducted in offline (OMR-based) mode with multiple-choice questions (MCQs). 

The WBJEE JELET exam is conducted to provide direct entry into the second year (or 3rd semester) of UG courses like BTech, B.E. and BPharm to eligible candidates. What is WBJEE JELET?

The Joint Entrance Lateral Entry Test is a state-level exam conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board. It is primarily held for diploma and BSc degree holders to allow them a direct admission into the second year (third semester) of four-year UG courses like  BTech, BE and BPharm. The idea of the JELET exam is to avoid starting over from the first year, and allow diploma holders to enter mainstream bachelor’s education at the suitable stage. Admission through this exam is offered into various universities, government colleges and self-financing engineering and technological institutes across West Bengal. 

How to Register for WBJEE JELET 2026?

The WBJEE JELET 2026 registration process is online and straightforward. Once the website/registration link gets active, follow these simple steps:

  1. Visit the WBJEE JELET official website. 
  2. Click on the JELET 2026 Registration link. 
  3. Login using your credentials (User ID and password). 
  4. Enter details including personal details, academic details and others.
  5. Upload necessary documents such as your photograph, signature, marksheets and others.
