Change in Exam Pattern: What Candidates Need to Know
Initially, the High Court intended to hold an online Computer-Based Test (CBT) for the 48 Junior Assistant vacancies. However, due to a exceptionally high volume of applications, the selection committee changed the format to ensure a uniform testing process.
The test is now being conducted in offline OMR-sheet mode on July 19, 2026. Candidates should double-check their preparation strategy to align with physical OMR sheet guidelines, such as using a blue or black ballpoint pen for marking answers.
Important Guidelines for Exam Day
To avoid any last-minute hassle, candidates must keep the following details in mind:
-
Documents to Carry: You must bring a printed physical copy of your admit card to the examination venue. Along with it, carry a valid government-issued photo ID card (such as an Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, or Driving License).
-
Report Discrepancies Early: Carefully check your name, photograph, signature, and exam center location on the downloaded hall ticket. If you spot any mistakes or encounter technical issues while downloading, immediately email the official helpdesk at helpdesk.jkhc19@gmail.com. All issues must be reported by July 18, 2026.
-
Forbidden Items: Mobile phones, calculators, smartwatches, notebooks, study material, and any electronic gadgets are strictly banned inside the exam hall.
Make sure to arrive at your designated Srinagar or Jammu exam center well ahead of the reporting time printed on your hall ticket
