The entrance exam pattern for MBA includes 100 multiple-choice questions, each carrying 1 mark, divided into five sections: Computer Awareness, Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Analysis, English Language, and General Knowledge. Each section comprises 20 questions, contributing to a total score of 100 marks.

For MCA courses, the Karnataka PGCET cutoff is expected to be around 120 ranks at UVCE, and between 150-300 ranks at BMSCE. UVCE Bengaluru MCA cutoff ranks increased from 82 in 2023 to 95 in 2025. PES University’s closing ranks for MCA moved up from 180 in 2023 to 210 in 2025, and RVCE MCA cutoff increased from 270 in 2023 to 310 in 2025. For M.Tech in VLSI Design, the cutoff at RIT Bangalore can go up to 150 ranks. Rajeev Gupta, a Karnataka PGCET topper with 99 percentiles, stated that mock tests significantly aided his performance by helping him identify strengths and weaknesses and refine his test strategy.
