Candidates generally eligible for private candidature include those categorised as Essential Repeat, Compartment, declared Fail in previous years, those seeking Improvement of Performance, or individuals wishing to appear in an Additional Subject. Specifically, students who failed in the Class 12th CBSE Board exams 2025 are eligible to apply, as are students who missed the opportunity to write the Class 12th standard exam but appeared in practical examinations.
