Eligibility and Seat Allotment Process
All PPMET-2026 qualified candidates from Punjab and other states are eligible to participate in this counselling round. The qualifying criteria for the General category is the 40th percentile, while for SC/ST/OBC categories, it is the 30th percentile. General-PwD candidates require a 35th percentile, and SC/ST/OBC-PwD candidates need a 30th percentile.
Other-state candidates will be considered for seat allotment after eligible Punjab candidates. BFUHS advises candidates not to limit their choices solely to colleges or seats appearing vacant in the initial vacancy position, as additional vacancies may arise due to seat upgradation, shifting, surrender of seats, and conversion of eligible reserved or NRI seats into Open Merit seats. Seat allotment is determined by the candidate’s merit, choices/preferences, seat availability, applicable reservation policy, and government/university rules. Failure to complete the admission process within the notified period can result in the forfeiture of the allotted seat.
Next Steps for Allotted Candidates
Candidates who are allotted a seat in the 4th Round of PPMET 2026 counselling must report to their respective colleges between October 17 and October 19, 2026. This period is designated for completing all necessary admission formalities, as stated by the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS). These formalities include joining the allotted college, undergoing original document verification, and eligibility verification.
Further steps for allotted candidates involve a medical checkup and the payment of applicable fees. BFUHS emphasizes that failure to complete the entire admission process within the specified timeframe, which concludes on October 19, 2026, could lead to the forfeiture of the allotted seat.
