The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) announced today, October 22, 2026, the postponement of the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2026 examination that was originally scheduled for November 4, 2026. The affected paper will now be conducted on November 21, 2026. This decision impacts candidates seeking teaching positions in government schools across Bihar.

The rescheduling was prompted by a conflict with the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) recruitment examinations, which were also slated for November 4, 2026. This move aims to prevent administrative issues and accommodate candidates who may be appearing for both state and national-level eligibility tests.
Revised Schedule and Admit Card Information
Candidates whose examination was initially scheduled for November 4, 2026, must download new admit cards. The revised admit cards will be available for download from the official website, stetregistration.cbrt.co.in, starting October 24, 2026. It is important for candidates to verify the updated exam date, shift timings, and reporting instructions on their new admit cards.
The overall STET 2026 examination period spans from October 25, 2026, to November 21, 2026. However, only the paper originally scheduled for November 4 has been moved.
