K J Somaiya Institute of Management (KJSIM) has secured the 51st position in Asia in the QS Asia MBA Rankings 2027, according to an announcement made on September 24, 2026. This marks an improvement from its 52nd rank in the previous edition of the rankings.

The Mumbai-based institute was also listed in the 301+ category in the QS Global MBA Rankings 2027, which included 19 Indian business schools. The QS rankings provide an external assessment of management education outcomes and value, evaluating institutions on parameters such as employability, return on investment, entrepreneurship and alumni outcomes, thought leadership, and diversity.
KJSIM’s Performance in Qs Rankings
KJSIM, established in 1981 and affiliated with Somaiya Vidyavihar University, has consistently featured in prominent rankings. The institute holds AACSB accreditation and is recognized as one of the top 10 private business schools in India.

Placement Outcomes for MBA Class of 2024–26
KJSIM reported an overall placement rate of 97% for its MBA Class of 2024–26. Out of 603 participating students, 586 received offers. The flagship MBA Core programme achieved a 98% placement rate, with 545 of 555 students securing offers.
The peak domestic salary recorded for the MBA Class of 2024–26 was ₹29.30 lakh per annum. The average salary for the top 10% of students stood at ₹19.94 lakh, while for the top 20% and top 30% of students, the average salaries were ₹17.85 lakh and ₹16.86 lakh respectively.
