TN HSE 1st year arrear exam timetable 2027 released: exams from March 5

The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Tamil Nadu, released the public examination timetable for Class 10 SSLC, Class 11 arrear, and Class 12 HSE examinations for the 2026-27 academic year on October 14, 2026. The schedule was announced by School Education Minister A. Rajmohan during a press conference in Chennai at 12:30 PM.

This timetable provides the schedule for upcoming public examinations, specifically addressing Class 11 arrear candidates. The Class 11 examination schedule is intended for arrear candidates only, including eligible candidates from the 2018 to 2025 examination years.

TN HSE 1st Year Arrear Exam Schedule 2027

The Class 11 arrear examinations are scheduled to commence on March 5, 2027, and conclude on April 1, 2027. The examinations will be conducted in a pen-and-paper written format, with each subject carrying a total of 100 marks. For subjects with a practical component, theory marks are 70 and practical marks are 30, while non-practical subjects are primarily assessed through theory.

The examination session for Class 11 arrear exams is from 10:00 AM to 1:15 PM. This duration includes a 10-minute period for reading the question paper from 10:00 AM to 10:10 AM, followed by 5 minutes for verification of candidate particulars on the answer sheet from 10:10 AM to 10:15 AM. The actual writing of the examination will take place from 10:15 AM to 1:15 PM.

Admit Card and Results for Arrear Candidates

The TN 11th admit card will be released through the official website, dge.tn.gov.in. Regular candidates are required to collect their TN 11th admit card from their respective schools. Private students can download their TN 11th admit card 2027 by entering their application number and date of birth on the official portal. Students should verify the information on their hall ticket and report any discrepancies to their school or the examination authority.

The Tamil Nadu Class 11 result for the 2027 session for arrear candidates is tentatively scheduled to be announced on May 7, 2027. Students can download the TN HSE +1 result online from the official website, tnresults.nic.in. The board also provides a second chance to students who fail in one or more subjects through supplementary examinations. The TN Class 11 supplementary exam result 2027 will be released in July 2027. Students need a minimum of 35% marks in each subject to pass the examination.

Examination Details and Corrections

The Tamil Nadu Board HSE 1st Year Examination, also known as TN HSE 1st Year, is conducted once a year at an intermediate level by the Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu (DGE). The examination is held offline for all streams, including Science, Commerce, and Arts. The exam duration is 180 hours.

Students who fail in one or more subjects can apply for the TN Board 11th arrear exam. Errors in the TN 11th marksheet can be corrected by reaching out to respective school authorities.
