B.Tech Artificial Intelligence and Data Science admission 2026: SVPCET Puttur outlines eligibility, fees

SVPCET Puttur has released full details regarding admission to its B.Tech Artificial Intelligence and Data Science program for the 2026 academic year. The admission process includes specific criteria for seat allocation, eligibility, required documents, and fee structures, affecting all prospective students.

The admission framework is divided into Category-A (Convener) and Category-B (Management Quota) seats, with distinct procedures for each. Candidates are required to qualify specific entrance examinations and complete a multi-step verification and reporting process to secure their admission.

Admission Process and Seat Allocation

Admission to the B.Tech Artificial Intelligence and Data Science program at SVPCET Puttur for 2026 is structured with 70% of seats designated as Category-A (Convener) seats. These seats are filled through web counselling, which considers EAPCET, PGECET, or GATE ranks, alongside applicable reservation norms, as stipulated by the Admission Procedure — SVPP. Seat allotment is ultimately based on the candidate’s rank in these entrance exams, marks in their qualifying examination, and adherence to reservation policies.

The remaining 30% of seats fall under the Category-B (Management Quota). These seats are filled directly by the College Management, following guidelines established by APSCHE, Vijayawada. Candidates interested in Category-B seats can obtain an application form from the Administrative Office. there are no B-Category seats available for lateral entry into the second year of the B.Tech program.

Eligibility Criteria and Entrance Examinations

For admission to the B.Tech program, candidates must qualify the AP EAPCET entrance test. Diploma holders seeking lateral entry into the second year of B.Tech are required to appear for ECET FDH. The eligibility criteria also vary based on candidature type, as outlined by St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering & Technology.

Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates must have passed HSC or an equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational subject, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, or Business Studies. A minimum of 45% marks (40% for backward classes, EWS, and PwD) in these subjects combined is required, along with a non-zero score in CET. Alternatively, a Diploma in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% for backward classes, EWS, and PwD) also renders candidates eligible. All India Candidature Candidates and Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature Candidates, who must be Indian Nationals, need to meet similar HSC or equivalent subject and percentage requirements, and obtain a non-zero positive score in JEE (Main) B.E./B.Tech or a non-zero score in CET. Preference is given to those with a non-zero positive score in JEE (Main) B.E./B.Tech over CET. NRI, OCI, PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, and Foreign National candidates must have passed HSC or equivalent with the specified subjects and achieved at least 45% marks in these subjects combined.

FEE Structure and Documentation

The fee structure for admission in 2026 at St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering & Technology includes tuition fees, development fees, caution money, and other fees. For OPEN/OMS category candidates, the tuition fee is ₹138,261, with a development fee of ₹20,739, totaling a full fee of ₹159,000. A refundable caution money of ₹10,000 is also required. Hostel accommodation is available at an additional cost of ₹60,000 per year.

Candidates must report to the college with all original documents, pay the prescribed tuition fee as per APHERMC, and complete admission formalities. It is mandatory for candidates to complete certificate verification during the counselling process. Required documents include S.S.C. (Std. X) mark sheet, H.S.C. (Std. XII) mark sheet, MHT-CET / JEE Mains (Paper 1) score card 2026, School leaving certificate, Domicile of Maharashtra state or birth certificate mentioning Maharashtra state as birth location Indian Nationality proof, Caste Certificate, Caste Validity and Non-Creamy Layer (valid up to 31 March 2027 if applicable), Migration Certificate (for other than Maharashtra State Board), Eligibility certificate from RTM Nagpur University (Other than Maharashtra State Board), and Proforma’O’ (only for Minority Christian Students). All original documents must be submitted at the time of admission, and soft copies should be preserved. In addition, it is mandatory to register and obtain an Application ID from the DTE portal and verify documents from a Facilitation Center for all types of admission.
