Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU), Uttar Pradesh, has officially commenced the registration and choice-filling process for the Uttar Pradesh General Nursing and Midwifery Entrance Test (UPGET) 2026 Mop-Up Round Counselling. Candidates seeking admission into GNM courses can now register online at abvmucet26.co.in. The registration window is open from 26 July – 31 July 2026.

The UPGET mop-up round is conducted to fill remaining vacant seats following the conclusion of Round 1 and Round 2 admissions. Conducted online by ABVMU, this mop-up stage offers eligible candidates a crucial opportunity to secure a seat in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) programs across the state. UPGET Mop-Up Round Counselling 2026 Eligibility Criteria

To participate in the UPGET mop-up round, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

  • Nationality: Must be a citizen of India.

  • Qualifying Exam:

    • Passed 10+2 with a minimum of 40% aggregate marks (35% for SC/ST reserved categories) in Science stream.

    • OR passed 10+2 with 40% aggregate marks in ANM vocational course from an INC-recognized institute.

  • UPGET Qualification: Must have appeared in and qualified the UPGET 2026 entrance examination.

  • Seat Status: Candidates who have not secured or retained a seat in previous rounds (or resigned within the permitted window) are eligible to participate.

Candidates must complete their mop-up round registration online by following these steps:

  1. Visit the Official Portal: Go to the official ABVMU website at abvmuup.edu.in.

  2. Access UPGET Portal: Locate and click on the UPGET 2026 counselling section.

  3. Login: Enter your Registration ID and Password generated during initial application.

  4. Verify Personal Details: Check auto-filled details (Name, Category, Address, DOB) and update domicile status if required.

  5. Upload Required Documents: Attach necessary certificates and documents in the specified format.

  6. Pay Counselling Fees: Complete payment for non-refundable registration fee and security deposit online.

The seat allotment is determined based on the UPGET 2026 merit rank and choices submitted by candidates.

  • Choice Preferences: Candidates can select and arrange multiple choices of nursing colleges and programs in order of preference.

  • Choice Locking: Choices must be locked before July 31, 2026. If not locked manually, the system will automatically lock saved choices at the deadline.

  • Seat Allocation: ABVMU will process allotments using merit rank, category reservations, and locked options, announcing results on August 3, 2026.
