UPTAC 2026 Round 2 Seat Allotment Out, Last Date to Submit Seat Acceptance Fee Extended till 28th July 2026

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow has officially declared the Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) 2026 Round 2 Seat Allotment Result. Candidates who participated in the second round of counselling for undergraduate programs—including B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Des, and Integrated M.Tech—can now check their seat allotment status on the official portal at uptac.samarth.edu.in. 

Candidates who were either allotted a seat for the first time or upgraded from Round 1 must exercise their Online Willingness (Freeze or Float) and complete the required seat confirmation fee payment to hold their seat. Additionally, the last date for submitting seat acceptance fee for Round 2 has been extended to 28 July 2026, 6 PM. 

How to Check UPTAC 2026 Round 2 Seat Allotment Result

Follow these steps to view your allotment status and download the provisional allotment letter:

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to uptac.samarth.edu.in.

  2. Access Candidate Login: Click on the link for “UPTAC Round 2 Seat Allotment 2026” on the homepage.

  3. Submit Credentials: Enter your Application/Roll Number and Password to log in.

  4. View Allotment Status: Navigate to the seat allotment section to view the assigned institute, program, and category.

  5. Download & Save: Download the Seat Allotment Letter and take a printout for physical reporting and admission reference.

UPTAC 2026 Round 2 Seat Allotment Date Extended

The UPTAC 2026 counselling authority has extended the deadline for candidates allotted seats in Round 2 to complete key admission formalities. As per the latest notification, the last date to submit the seat acceptance fee, exercise the Freeze/Float option, and avail the online withdrawal facility has been extended from July 26 to July 28, 2026 (6 PM). Candidates can complete these processes by logging in to the official UPTAC counselling portal.

What After UPTAC 2026 Round 2 Seat Allotment?

After the Round 2 result release, candidates have specific action steps to follow based on their allotment status:

  • Newly Allotted Candidates: Must select their online willingness (Freeze or Float) and pay the required Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) within the specified window to avoid seat cancellation.

  • Upgraded Candidates: Must re-confirm their willingness status on the dashboard.

  • Non-Allotted Candidates: Can directly proceed to Round 3 choice modification/locking.

Note: The Seat Acceptance Fee is ₹20,000 for General / OBC candidates and ₹12,000 for SC / ST / EWS candidates.

Freeze, Float, and Withdrawal Options Explained

Candidates must choose one of the following options on the UPTAC portal:

  • Freeze Option: Select this if you are completely satisfied with the allotted institute and branch. By choosing Freeze, you lock the seat, exit further counseling rounds, and agree to complete physical reporting at the institution as per the schedule.

  • Float Option: Select this if you accept the seat offered in Round 2 but want to be considered for a higher-preference branch/college in Round 3. The current seat remains secured until a higher preference is allotted.

  • Withdrawal Option: Candidates who wish to step out of the counselling process can choose the online withdrawal option within the specified window to receive a partial fee refund as per policy.

Documents Required for Online Willingness and Admission

Candidates must keep original documents and self-attested photocopies ready for online submission and subsequent physical reporting:

  • Class 10 & 12 Marksheets and Passing Certificates

  • Entrance Exam Scorecard (JEE Main / CUET / NATA)

  • UPTAC Seat Allotment Letter

  • Seat Acceptance Fee Payment Receipt

  • Category / Sub-Category Certificate (if applicable)

  • Domicile Certificate of Uttar Pradesh (if applicable)

  • Character Certificate & Medical Fitness Certificate

  • Income Certificate (for Fee Waiver candidates)

  • Passport-size Photographs and Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar Card/PAN Card)

Will There Be Further UPTAC 2026 Counselling Rounds?

Yes. UPTAC 2026 counselling consists of multiple stages to ensure maximum seat allocation:

  • Round 3 & Round 4: Regular counselling rounds for choices and upgrades. (Note: All seats in Round 4 will be Auto-Frozen).

  • Internal Sliding Round: Conducted after physical reporting for candidates who have taken admission in government institutions, allowing intra-college branch upgrades.

  • Special / Spot Rounds: Conducted after regular rounds to fill leftover vacant seats across participating universities.
