Assam NEET PG 2026 round 1 choice filling ends today, seat allotment from October 29

The Directorate of Medical Education, Assam (DME Assam) has concluded the online registration process for Assam NEET PG 2026 Round 1. Candidates participating in the counselling for admission to postgraduate medical courses under the 50% Assam State Quota for the 2026-27 academic session must complete their choice filling by 5 PM today, October 28, 2026.

Following the conclusion of choice filling, the choice locking window for Round 1 will be active from 4 PM to 11:55 PM on October 28, 2026. This counselling process covers 50% of postgraduate seats in government medical colleges of Assam and Dr B. Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI), Guwahati.

Assam NEET PG 2026 Round 1 Schedule and Next Steps

The online registration for Assam NEET PG 2026 Round 1 commenced on October 21, 2026, and concluded on October 25, 2026, at 11:59 PM. The choice filling process began on October 26, 2026, and is set to end today. Candidates are required to lock their choices within the specified window to be considered for seat allotment.

The seat allotment processing for Round 1 is scheduled to occur from October 29 to October 31, 2026. The provisional seat allotment list will be released on November 1, 2026, with the final result declared on November 2, 2026. Successful candidates must report to their allotted colleges on November 9 and 10, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria for State Quota Admission

Candidates applying for the Assam State Quota seats must meet specific eligibility requirements.
