Counselling Process and Seat Distribution

Kerala NEET PG Counselling 2026 is conducted for admission to MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses in government medical colleges, the Regional Cancer Centre (RCC), Thiruvananthapuram, and private self-financing medical colleges in Kerala. Seats are allotted through the Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) based on the candidate’s score and rank in NEET PG. The state has 1881 NEET PG seats, with 50% reserved under the Kerala State Quota and the remaining 50% under the All India Quota, managed by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

The counselling process includes Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up, and Stray Vacancy rounds. Kerala follows a domicile-oriented admission system for Government quota seats and is considered a Closed State, meaning outsider candidates are not eligible for private college seats. Non-Keralite MBBS Graduates from Kerala are eligible for admission but not for communal/special/PD reservation and must complete a one-year Senior Residency bond. Non-Keralite Service Doctors are eligible under the Service Quota as per a Kerala High Court judgment on March 7, 2024.
