Candidates seeking admission to state quota seats in MD, MS, Diploma, and Diplomate of National Board (DNB) courses in government and private medical colleges, institutes, and universities across Uttar Pradesh must complete their registration and fee payment by the stipulated deadlines.

The schedule for the first round of online counselling was released by the DGME, Uttar Pradesh, on October 17, 2026. This state-level counselling follows the tentative timetable announced by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), New Delhi, which conducts counselling for 50% All-India Quota seats, with state authorities managing the remaining 50% state quota seats.

Key Dates for UP NEET PG 2026 Round 1 Counselling

Online registration for UP NEET PG 2026 Round 1 began on October 21, 2026, at 2:00 PM, and will close today, October 26, 2026, at 11:00 AM. The window for paying the registration and security fees also commenced on October 21, 2026, at 2:00 PM, and will conclude today, October 26, 2026, at 2:00 PM. The merit list for Round 1 is scheduled to be declared today, October 26, 2026.

Following the merit list declaration, online choice filling for Round 1 will begin today, October 26, 2026, at 5:00 PM, and will remain open until October 30, 2026, at 5:00 PM. The seat allotment result for Round 1 is slated for November 2, 2026. Candidates can download their allotment letters and complete the admission process between November 3-7, 2026, and November 12-13, 2026.

Fees and Eligibility Criteria for Counselling

The non-refundable registration fee for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rounds of counselling is ₹3,000. A new registration with a ₹3,000 fee is required for the Stray Vacancy Round. Security deposits vary by institution type: ₹30,000 for Government Medical/Dental Colleges, ₹2,00,000 for Private Medical Colleges, and ₹1,00,000 for Private Dental Colleges.

Candidates must have qualified NEET PG 2026 with the required cutoff marks. MBBS/BDS graduates from institutions within Uttar Pradesh are eligible for Government State Quota seats and Private Medical Colleges in UP. Graduates from outside UP can only gain admission to Private Medical and Dental Colleges, Institutes, or Universities in the state. The vertical reservation policy in Uttar Pradesh includes 21% for SC, 2% for ST, 27% for OBC, and 10% for EWS categories.

Candidates are advised to complete online registration and fee payments through the official UP NEET PG counselling portal by the deadlines.
